Marketing Through The Chamber

Need cost-effective ways to market your business? Connect with hundreds of chamber members and the general public through our effective marketing opportunities. From promoting your business in our monthly mailing packet to adding a link and logo to your online directory listing, marketing your business through the chamber is an inexpensive way to target key business leaders in the community.

  1. Directory Website Logo
If you’re not advertising online, you’re missing an easy and inexpensive way to target new clients. On average, the chamber site receives 15,000 hits a day and entertains over 375 session visits per day; that means 375 citizens are spending at least four minutes a day browsing the chamber site. The member directory receives the majority of those visits. For pennies a day, you can include your logo.
  2. Website Homepage and/or Interior Page Ads
Want to increase your website presence and reach a larger and global customer base? Purchase an ad on the chamber’s website homepage. Your advertisement will rotate on multiple pages throughout the site. Place your business in front of area newcomers, local businesses, area visitors and other community representatives.
  3. Chamber Connection
Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber Connection magazine is published quarterly and contains current news, announcements and advertisements about the chamber and its members. The publication is included in the chamber monthly packet and mailed to over 1,100 of Alamance County’s business leaders and decision makers. Do you have news to share?  Contact the chamber and your business may be highlighted in the 'Member News' section of the magazine.
  4. Ribbon Cuttings
Host a ribbon cutting at your company to celebrate a grand opening, renovation, ground breaking or new location. The chamber will organize the event and promote the celebration in the Chamber Connection.

Developing Your Business

Sixty-five percent of the chamber membership is comprised of small businesses (1-15 employees); therefore, we focus on programs and services to support and stimulate this key group.

  1. Working Women Wednesday’s
The chamber’s Small Business Council is a proud sponsor of the Working Women’s Wednesdays (WWW) series. The monthly luncheon, developed by the Women’s Resource Center and Women in Networking (WIN), features dynamic speakers who address issues important in today’s business world. Attend and learn new ways to manage your personal and professional life while becoming successful in your chosen profession.
  2. Business Development Series
Business Development seminars are held bi-monthly at the chamber. From management skills to the business climate in Alamance County, dynamic speakers share valuable information to help you improve everyday business practices.
  3. Expos
The chamber hosts a variety of expos that provide a venue for businesses to connect with one another as well as showcase products and services to fellow members and the public at large. Take advantage of these events and benefit from marketing your product to others face-to-face.

Networking

It’s been said that networking is an essential part of building wealth. To continue the growth of the business community, we provide members with various opportunities to personally promote their company and create relationships with other business people. Participate in Business After Hours, Business Before Hours and many other events to take advantage of this benefit.

Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce
  1. Business After Hours
This popular event can draw up to 175 chamber members. The goal is to offer a networking opportunity for members and provide you a means to showcase your products, services, and facilities. Held the last Tuesday of every month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., members enjoy networking, hors d’oeurves, drinks and fun activities.
  2. Business Before Hours
This monthly networking event was established to reach early risers. More formalized than Business After Hours, this event includes a full breakfast, chamber announcements, networking with peers and personal business commercials. From 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., more than 40 fellow members use this event to personally market their business.
  3. Referral Groups
Referral groups provide business-to-business and business-to consumer referrals.  These groups are successful in generating new business for fellow group members.  You are welcome to be a guest at a referral group meeting to discover the benefits it can bring to your company. For more information about referral groups, view the B2B Referral Group video.
  4. Volunteer Involvement
Volunteer Opportunities range from serving on committees and task forces where business professionals can get exposure to potential customers to ones that set chamber policy on key legislative issues. Business people can work on a one-time project or serve on committees for more than a year. Click here to volunteer for one of the committees offered through the chamber.
