What are the Friends?
For over twenty years, the Friends, a volunteer organization dedicated to the active promotion, welfare and support of the Alamance County Public Libraries, has played an active part in the success of the libraries in Alamance County. The Friends of the Library are people living in and around Alamance County who believe excellent library services are important to everyone, adding to the quality of life in their community. As a tax exempt 501(c)(3) support group, the Friends work locally with each library in the county to promote their goals and objectives, as well as to promote the full range of services and resources offered by the libraries. The Friends share a common concern to preserve and protect intellectual freedom as guaranteed in our First Amendment Rights.
Where are we located?
Friends is located in the basement of May Memorial Library. The address is: 342 S. Spring Street, Burlington, NC 27215. 336-229-3588.

Want to be in the Spotlight?  Attend two of the chamber’s largest networking events. To be selected as a member spotlight, business representatives must attend Business After Hours or Business Before Hours, two events that give members the chance to promote their business face to face.  Featured members will be selected at random.  Once chosen, businesses are asked to submit an article and picture highlighting their company.  Both will be featured on the chamber website for one month or in the Chamber Connection on a bi-monthly basis.
