'In 2006 I was nominated by our bank president to participate in a program offered by the Chamber of Commerce “Leadership of Alamance”. My previous experience with the Chamber had been limited, although I did volunteer for several outside organizations I really had not been exposed to the Chamber and all that they offered to our community.
It was through the completion of this program that I began to really become more involved with different programs and opportunities through the Chamber. I fell in love with the staff and their desire to make our community a better place for businesses and residents.
Since that time I have been very involved and active, I have met countless business owners and leaders and have enjoyed becoming more involved and having an impact on decisions that will change our community and make it a better place for all of us for many years to come.
I am committed more now than ever to our local chamber and the vision that they have, it has made a huge impact on my career and I have made personal connections that will last a lifetime.'

'The Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce has been an invaluable resource for me both personally and professionally. Leadership Alamance gave me an intensive, multi-faceted education about Alamance County. It also enabled me to make many business connections that have heightened my abilities to raise money, promote the nonprofits I have worked for and acquainted me with individuals whom I have relied on for leadership roles in the various organizations I work with.
My tenure on the Chamber Ambassadors has presented me with opportunities to participate in many activities such as ribbon-cuttings, Business After Hours, the Education Expo, Annual Golf Tournament and OctoberFit. These are win-win events that assist the Chamber with their work while also allowing me to meet and network with many businesses. The Chamber Membership Directory on their website is my go to place when I need contact information about an Alamance County business.'

'North Star Marketing has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce since 2009 and have seen this as a valuable piece of our involvement in the Alamance County community every year since. The Chamber has offered so many opportunities for us to learn about our community and also invest our time and energies into worthy causes.
Leadership Alamance was a favorite for us, and was a fun and eye-opening experience into the daily behind-the-scenes of Alamance County. Regardless though of all of the ways the Chamber provides us to get involved, we see the support of our local Chamber as a “must” in the overall good of the county in which we live and work.'
