A partnership between the Alamance Chamber and Alamance-Burlington Schools, this program offers local middle and high school teachers the opportunity to visit area businesses and industries. Once a month, a group of approximately 20 teachers participate in Tuesday Tours for Teachers to learn more about the hard and soft skills needed by today’s workforce. Throughout the course of the year the program focuses on businesses and industries that align with the diverse Career and Technical Education pathways available to students. In addition, this program allows Career and Technical Education teachers to earn credit towards required Continuing Education Units.
Tuesday Tours for Teachers takes place the third Tuesday of the month from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. September through May. Teachers interested in signing up for the program should contact the CTE Department at Alamance-Burlington Schools.
