Carolina HealthWorks

Putting Affordable Care Back in the Hands of Small Businesses.

Carolina HealthWorks is a special multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA) available to members of the Alamance Chamber, NC Chamber or other participating local chambers.  Employers with 2 to 50 employees who are members of the NC Chamber or participating local chambers receive access to a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) health plan with competitive rates, flexibility, and convenience normally reserved for larger businesses. These plans include medical, dental and vision coverage at affordable rates. Claims and plan administration are funded through a fixed monthly fee, and risk-based pricing provides potential savings compared to more expensive community-rated options.

The Alamance Chamber is organizing an Information Webinar for all small businesses next week with a Blue Cross representative to help small businesses learn more about this new health plan. To receive updates and registration details for the session, please complete the form below.

Why does this matter? This new plan gives small business owners access to the same cost-saving tools and benefits management options that larger companies have long enjoyed. Health care is ultimately about people—the employees, families, and business owners who drive North Carolina’s economy. By offering affordable health care benefits, small businesses can better hire, grow, and compete in a tight market. With potential savings of up to 40% compared to ACA costs and streamlined administration, this plan allows business owners to focus more on running their businesses and supporting their teams.
