COVID-19 Precautions: Alamance Chamber Events Postponed

  • News

The Alamance Chamber has decided to postpone or cancel all large gatherings until April 30, 2020, which includes the ROAR Women’s Symposium on March 27, Business After Hours on March 31, and the AYLA Joint Event on April 3. It is our responsibility to model practices recommended by leading health organizations for slowing the spread of COVID-19. This includes employing social distancing techniques and limiting large gatherings.

During this time, it is important to support local businesses. Our restaurants, shops, service providers, and other businesses are open and taking precautions to take care of their customers and employees.

As an employer and a community organization, we will do our part to follow official guidelines such as those issued by our local and state government, the CDC, and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Resources are available on all of these websites (linked below), including recommended guidelines for businesses and other entities. We encourage you to check out these resources and implement them as you are able, to help our community stay healthy.

We will continue monitoring latest information regarding COVID-19 and its potential economic and community impacts. We know that our civic and health department officials are prepared and will respond promptly and appropriately to any needs in our community.

The Alamance Chamber will continue to communicate with you, our Members and the community, regularly as the COVID-19 situation develops and changes.

Thank you for doing your part to ensure the health and safety of our community.
