Meet Our Campus Alamance Interns: Juliana & Michael

The Alamance Chamber is pleased to host two Campus Alamance Interns this summer. Our interns, Juliana and Michael will be assisting with multiple projects and learning about Business and Economic Development in Alamance County. If you see them at a Chamber event, be sure to introduce yourself! Learn more about our interns below:

Juliana Buter, Campus Alamance Intern

Hi! My name is Juliana Buter. I am from Atlanta, Georgia and am currently a political science major at Elon University, Class of 2025. I am fortunate to have served as a mentor to other Elon students through the university’s Pheonix Leaders program and through my Greek organization. I have loved branching out in the Elon community, and I am excited to expand this reach to the rest of Alamance County through this internship opportunity. I am eager to meet new people, learn about their individual and unique businesses and experiences, and help the organization continue to assist in strengthening the Alamance County community.

I am currently exploring a variety of future career paths, ranging from campaign management to nonprofit work to law school. I am eager to learn more about the local business community and continue to narrow down these future career endeavors. I am so excited to be a part of the Alamance Chamber and witness all the people, organizations, and hard work that go into making Alamance County such a thriving and cohesive community.

Michael Johns, Campus Alamance Intern

My name is Michael Johns, and I am a rising sophomore majoring in Political Science and Policy Studies at Elon University.

I am an Odyssey and Legal Scholar at Elon, and I serve as the Community Outreach Senator for the Student Government Association where I act as a bridge between Elon University and surrounding communities. I strive to make a positive impact on my local community whether that be Elon, Burlington, or Alamance County and working with the Alamance Chamber of Commerce will provide me with a great opportunity to continue that. I am most excited for the opportunity to build relationships and networking skills and to see the impact the Chamber really has on businesses and all aspects of the community as a whole.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be on this team and am very excited for what the Chamber has in store!
