Meet the Chamber Champion: Bobbitt

80 Years of Bobbitt

For 80 years, Bobbitt has had the privilege of building spaces that strengthen communities across North Carolina. As we celebrate our 80th year, we’re reflecting not only on the projects we’ve built, but on the relationships, people and communities that have shaped our company along the way.
Here in the Triad, those relationships are an important part of Bobbitt’s story.
Our Triad office allows us to work alongside businesses, local governments, community organizations, design professionals and trade partners throughout the region. Being part of this community means more than constructing buildings. It means understanding the goals of the people behind each project and helping create spaces that will serve their organizations and communities for years to come.
Over eight decades, both North Carolina and the construction industry have changed significantly. Bobbitt has grown and evolved along with them. New technologies, new building methods and new ways of collaborating have transformed how projects come together, but our approach has remained centered on something much simpler: do great work, earn trust and build lasting relationships.
That philosophy is especially meaningful in communities like those throughout Alamance County and the greater Triad, where relationships matter. Whether a project is a workplace supporting a growing business, a public safety facility serving local residents, a school preparing the next generation or a community space bringing people together, every building begins with a purpose.
Our job is to understand that purpose and help our clients bring it to life.

A Legacy Built by People

Reaching 80 years is not something any company accomplishes alone. Bobbitt’s legacy belongs to generations of employees who have contributed their talents and expertise, clients who have trusted us with their visions, and the trade partners who have worked alongside us to make those visions a reality.
Today, Bobbitt is 100% employee-owned, giving our people a shared investment in the company’s future and in the quality of the work we deliver. That ownership mindset carries into every project and every relationship.
For our Triad team, it also means being invested in the future of the communities around us. We live and work in this region, and we understand that the buildings being constructed today will become part of its story for decades.

Building What Comes Next

North Carolina continues to grow. Communities throughout Alamance County and the Triad are evolving, businesses are expanding, and public organizations are planning for changing needs. Bobbitt is excited to continue working alongside the people leading that growth.
The tools and technologies we use will continue to change. The types of facilities our communities need will evolve. But the principles that have carried Bobbitt through eight decades will remain the same: listen to our clients, take on challenges, make the construction experience as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and deliver work we can all be proud of.
As we celebrate 80 years, we’re grateful to the employee-owners, clients, partners and communities who have been part of Bobbitt’s story.
And here in the Triad, we’re looking forward to the relationships we have yet to build, the challenges we have yet to solve and the places we have yet to create.
