URGENT: Donations Needed - Bottled Drinking Water
Due to the emergency water shortage in Mebane, the city is currently under Stage V mandatory water rationing. The Graham-Mebane Water Treatment Plant remains down following flooding from Tropical Storm Chantal and there are less than 2 days of drinking water available. Most businesses in Mebane are effected by this restriction and may have different business hours. Please help us in supporting citizens and businesses in the City of Mebane, NC- Government through water donations.
The Alamance Chamber will serve as a drop-site for donations. Collections will take place during regular business hours (Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) at the S. Lexington Ave entrance to our building. In addition, we will be collecting water donations at “Business at the Ballpark” tomorrow night at the Burlington Sock Puppets Game. At this time, only water donations will be accepted.
The Alamance Chamber has compiled a list of local resources, assistance, and important updates to help businesses and residents navigate the impacts of Tropical Storm Chantal. We encourage you to share this page with anyone who may need support. The resource page can be found in our bio.
Our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by the storm. Stay safe!
