On Tuesday, January 28th, the Alamance Chamber hosted the  2025 Annual Meeting at the Alliance Convention Center in Burlington. The event brought together over 200 Chamber Investors and community members to celebrate the Chamber’s achievements in 2024 and to look forward to the exciting initiatives planned for 2025.

The meeting marked a key moment in the Chamber’s leadership as Griffin McClure of Green & McClure Furniture officially passed the torch to Ryan Moffitt of The Vernon Law Firm as the 2025 Board Chair. Their partnership exemplifies the commitment to community and business development that defines the Alamance Chamber’s mission.

Presented by Duke Energy and supported by numerous sponsors, including Bobbitt Construction, Cone Health, Glen Raven, Inc., Alamance Community College, and more, the event was a true celebration of the people and organizations that make Alamance County a thriving hub of innovation and collaboration.

The evening began with a vibrant networking reception, sponsored by Emma L. Broady Academy, where attendees connected and shared ideas.

This was followed by a catered dinner by Western Steakhouse, offering a chance for everyone to enjoy delicious food while engaging with fellow community leaders and business professionals.

The program, emceed by Chamber President & CEO Reagan C. Gural, showcased the outstanding individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact in Alamance County over the past year. From volunteerism to entrepreneurship, the awards highlighted the many ways that the Chamber’s members contribute to the region’s continued growth and success.

The Chamber honored several standout individuals and organizations with prestigious awards. Most notably, the Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award was presented to Dr. David Johnson for his unwavering dedication to health and wellness of families in Alamance County throughout his career as a Physician at Burlington/Mebane Pediatrics as well as his commitment to community service and volunteerism in Alamance County. In addition, the Leader of Distinction Award
was presented to Kelly May, of Glen Raven, Inc.

  • Volunteer Committee of the Year: Advocacy Council (Led by Nikki Ratliff)
  • Entrepreneur of the Year: Michelle Spurlock, Upside Aerial & Fitness
  • Entrepreneur of the Year: Kyle Bundy, It’s All Good Southern Kitchen
  • Community Visionary of the Year: Tracy Schmidt, Tanner’s Wine Bar/Burlington Beer Works

In addition to celebrating the award recipients, the program also recognized the dedicated service of outgoing members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. These individuals played an integral role in shaping the direction of the Chamber and its initiatives:
